Updated: Aug 6, 2019
The Sabri Ülker Center was well represented at the April 2019 Keystone Symposium, co-led by Gökhan S. Hotamışlıgil together with Ruslan M. Medzhitov and Karine Clément. Center Director Hotamışlıgil presented a talk titled, "Immunometabolic Components of Age- and Obesity-Associated Pathologies". In addition, laboratory members provided talks - Dr. Alexander Bartelt - "Nfe2l1-Mediated Proteasomal Activity Secures ER Function in Adipocytes and Protects from Insulin Resistance in Mice and Humans"; Dr. Kacey J. Prentice, "Targeting Circulating FABP4 Prevents Type 1 Diabetes by Promoting β Cell Function and Survival". The Ülker Center team collaborated on the presentation of six posters. Very proud that two of our alum fellows presented at the conference - Drs. Feyza Engin and Ling Yang.
